Hope for your walls!
Abstract Floral Paintings that symbolize the beauty and strength of a chaotic mind.
Megan Carty’s abstract floral paintings are a hopeful symbol of the mind living, surviving, and thriving despite crippling depression and anxiety. There are moments of clarity and vibrant color—suddenly overtaken by weeds and wilting debris. The garden of this mind is always evolving in cycles of new growth, flourishing life, and the tiredness that comes afterward. At last, there are the dry, withering and fragile bits that crumble when you touch them.
These are the truths the garden tells; always changing from day to night and never the same twice. It’s not broken, rather, turning and returning in silent grandeur after each tending.
It is brave and resilient and proud. It is a legacy of faith and devotion to the promise of fruitful seeds bearing new life over and over again.
Megan Carty is a toe-tappin' finger-snappin' artist who makes beautiful abstract floral paintings full of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da" color for people who have a flair for bold statements and laid-back style. Through her bubbly personality, her use of bright colors, and her positive messages of joy and mindfulness she's here to bring you JOY and deliver ZING to your well-dressed walls!
Her abstract art has been featured by Anthropologie, Maine Home & Design, Maine Cottage, the Improper Bostonian, Glitter Guide, The English Room, Loom & Kiln and The Boston Daybook. When she's not joyfully slinging the paint you can find her listening to records, hiding from her three young kiddos, indulging in bad reality television (that MAY involve housewives) while savoring a delicious hot chocolate. Her awesome husband Chris always adds just the right amount of marshmallow!

Contemporary abstract landscape paintings by New England artist Megan Carty bring the soothing, healing energy of nature's majesty to the viewer through rich and vibrant colors, pooled together and blended in unique and dynamic ways. They come from from her Spirit to yours. Painting intuitively, Megan often "sees" the image she wants to paint appear in her mind's eye. She then gains clarity through meditation and inspiration from an archive of her own landscape photographs taken in her home state of Maine. With an idea and some colors in mind, she sets to work manipulating paint panels until a calming composition appears and her inner guide says "it's finished!" What is left is an heirloom-quality piece of art celebrating the beauty and spirit of New England.
